Telethon includes Olney charities

The Refuge, the Olney Education Foundation and the Olney Senior Cub Center have joined the Texoma Gives online telethon and will be seeking donations and trying for additional prize money on Thursday, Sept. 15.
Organized by the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, the telethon lasts 16 hours, from 6 a.m.- 10 p.m., and involves organizations in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.
Tax-deductible donations to different organizations of choice can be made at texomagives.org; by phone at 940-766-0829 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
There is a minimum donation of $25. The organizations will receive the full amount of funding given during the event within 30 days of its end.
