Darnell Berkshire

Darnell Berkshire, age 82, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Grace Care Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.

Darnell was born on September 4, 1934 in Taylor County, Texas to the late Rex and Juanita (Colclazer) Haynes. She was a Nurse’s Aide and had worked at Hamilton Hospital for over fifteen years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Ivan Berkshire in 1956 in Mexico. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2002. Darnell was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Mueller on May 17, 2013 and by two sisters, Billie Jo West and Carolyn Sue Bogges.

Darnell is survived by three grandsons: Chad Mueller and wife Tiffany of San Antonio, Dustin Mueller and wife Becky of Graham and Mason Mueller of Archer City; one daughter, Edith Cole of Prague, Oklahoma; two nieces: Peggy Lough and husband David of Olney and Sue Greenlee and husband Gary of Oklahoma City; one nephew, Andy West and wife Barbara of Olney, and three great-grandchildren.
