Helen Ruth Littlefield Harris, age 88, died Friday, November 25, 2016 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with her son-in-law, Bill Myers, officiating, assisted by Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Helen was born February 28, 1928 in Hopkins County Texas to the late A.C. and Fraulene Horn Littlefield. She married David Lee Harris Sr. on March 8, 1946 in Dallas, Texas and they moved to Olney in 1963 from McKinney, Texas. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper, and Activity Director at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, as well as being a caregiver for several elderly patients in the Olney Community. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Olney.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David L. Harris on February 28, 2003, a son, Paul Harris on January 28, 2015, a granddaughter, Lauren Lee Harris on May 1, 1989, and two brothers, Chester Littlefield and Bill Littlefield.

Helen is survived by one daughter, Norma Myers and husband Bill of Graham, Texas; two sons: David Harris and Mark Harris and wife Karen both of Olney, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Lou Harris of Olney; two brothers: Frank Littlefield and wife Beverly and Thurman Littlefield and wife Patti both of Ridgeway, Texas; two sisters: Ardith Luckey of Ridgeway, Texas and Virgie Allen and husband Kenneth of Paris, Texas; sister-in-law, June Littlefield of Corinth, Texas; brother-in-law, Howard Harris of Ladonia, Texas; eight grandchildren: Samantha Milhollon, Rebeca Campbell, William “Chip” Myers, Jr., Daniel Myers all of Graham, Texas, Paul Willard Harris of Keller, Texas, Chad Harris of Olney, Texas, Brandon Dixon of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Brock Harris of Tempe, Arizona; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Lunn Funeral Home.
