Kay Frances Madera

Kay Frances Madera, 82, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.

A daughter of the late Berniece and Homer Walters, Kay was born on August 30, 1941, in Bowie, Texas. Throughout her life, Kay was fiercely loyal to her family and friends, seldom missing events important to those she loved. Kay loved Elvis and the Dallas Cowboys.

Kay was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls and cherished her friends in the Legacy Department. Kay lived her life selflessly, always being the first to volunteer to help anyone in need. Kay retired after 20+ years as office manager of Brazos Cellular.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Curtis Lindsay. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joe Madera; daughter Kim King; son-in-law Greg King, daughter Karla Rincon; son-in-law Robert Rincon; sister Danna Beth Lindsay; brother-in-law; Jim Madera and wife, Reba Madera; nephews Mike Lindsay, Kent Lindsay, and wife Sandy Lindsay. Also, Kay is survived by one granddaughter, and many great nieces and a great-nephew.
