OHS shines in Powerlifting Tourney in Vernon

The OHS Powerlifting team traveled to Vernon to compete in the Lion Tournament and came away with a win.Powerlifting Coach Casey Keeter said it was a “huge day for Olney Powerlifting!” with the team winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Senior Angel Alvarado (165) totaled 1,285 lbs to take 1st place by 200 pounds. Senior Rodolfo Arce (181) totaled 1,135 lbs and was able to grab 2nd place with a clutch combination of squat and bench. Junior Lucas Rodgers (220) totaled 1,090 lbs and secured 3rd place with a great performance in the 3 lifts and PR in all three lifts. Carson Boston and Ricco Sandoval both finished 6th and had a great day hitting personal bests in their respective classes.
