OJH hosts District track meet at Cub Field

The Olney Junior High School [OJH] hosted a district track meet at Cub Field and saw great success for these hard-working student athletes.

Some highlights for the days event are: OJH earned a second place finish for the event; Eric German won second in the discus throw for seventh-grade boys; Jacobi Esquivel won second in the discus throw for eighth-grade boys; Renata Chavez won third place in the 1,600-meter run for seventh grade girls; Shaine Grard won second place in 100 meter for ninth-grade boys; Kyle Stewart won third in the 100-meter dash for seventh-grade boys; Wesley Symank won third in the 2,400-meter run for eighthgrade boys; Kane Brock won second in the 110-meter hurdles for eighth-grade boys; Joseph Lopez won third in the 100-meter hurdles for eighthgrade boys; Halee Craven won first place in the 100-meter dash and first place in the 200-meter dash for ninth-grade girls; Jalissa Whitlock won second place in the 100-meter dash for ninth-grade girls; and Mackenzie Berngen won second place in the 200-meter dash for ninth-grade girls.

There were so many more student athletes who trained hard to compete who may not be listed and all deserve respect and honors for their hard

work.
